"Gomorra," a book about the Naples crime syndicate that I am currently reading, has been made into a film.
IFC Entertainment has acquired U.S. distribution rights for the film, which won the Grand Prix winner at Cannes. It's not clear when it will be available in the U.S. but hopefully later this year.
The New York Times ran a story yesterday about "Gomorra" and another new Italian film called "Il Divo," which the newspaper said are credited with reviving the Italian film industry. Read on:
